Overview

The ID6501 project involves the design and implementation of a website for a small business (such as car sale, real estate, online shop, etc.). The business may be your own or that of a friend, an actual business or an imaginary one. The approval of your tutor is required If you wish to work on your own selected project.

The project of Online Clothes Sale for women or men is suggested for this course by your tutor.

Project Part-A Description

Design a set of linked web pages for a fictitious Online Clothes Sale. You are required to create Online Clothes Sale allowing registered sellers to advertise their clothes. The site should provide a search capability for the clothes buyers to find clothe(s) that they are looking for by typing the gender (women, men) and category (T-shirts, hoodies, trousers, jackets, etc.). The site should consist of no fewer than 5 web pages with full multi-directional navigation between pages. Depending on the search keywords, the search service should provide a possible list of clothes, and then by clicking to each element on the list, the site should provide more details about the clothes such as: image, condition (new, old), size, color, price, brand, and description. Your web pages must be cross-browser compatible (responsive to different browsers).

Project Part-A Guidelines

1. Homepage

Homepage can consist of the company logo, brief introduction about the company, and links to other web pages of the website.

1. Sellers Registration

Seller registration allows the system to validate the sellers’ details and ensures that all sellers have a valid user ID.

This page should prompt sellers to fill a form with fields for

• Name
• Address
• Phone number
• Email address
• Username
• Password

1. Seller Page

This page should provide the following links for the sellers to manage the advertisement of their clothes after successfully logging in: Login/Logout, Add clothes, Delete clothes.

1. Login page: This page should prompt sellers to fill a login form with fields for:

• Username
• Password

1. Add clothes– This page should request user to fill in the form with field for:

• Gender (Women, Men)
• Category (T-shirts, hoodies, trousers, jackets, etc.)
• Condition (New, Used)
• Color
• Size
• Brand
• Location
• Price
• Delete Clothes– This option should allow sellers to remove any advertisement added.
